My name is Nataliia Burmaka (Ukraine/Finland), I got education in arts in the National Art Studio of Boris Danchenko. Later I obtained a master's degree in philology and completed a postgraduate course in accounting. I took additional courses in psychology and coding.

In 2022, I moved to Finland to escape the war in Ukraine. I consider myself a creative person and express myself through literature and visual arts. I have had group and solo exhibitions in Finland and also organized events dedicated to Ukrainian literature and culture.

I am a member of the Ukrainian Journalists’ Union and co-organizer of the Ukrainian short story contest “Open world”.

Creating visual art is, for me, akin to composing poetry. Each piece is an experiment, an exploration of form and substance intended to provoke reflection and challenge perceptions. I explore the possibilities of visual language to tell stories, to join my personal perception of the world with the perception of the viewer.

I embrace varied techniques, delving into the unique strengths of each medium. Art remains my steadfast source of strength, a lighthouse of beauty and meaning during tumultuous times.
